HARRY & BARBARA JARVIS
BRIAN & JILLIAN WALLWORK
Harry and Barbara Jarvis founded Yorkshire Schools Badminton Association in 1967 and have been coaching Yorkshire teams and players since that date. They have coached the England U14, U16 and U18 teams, as well as Ireland, New Zealand and the International Badminton Federation in Bulgaria. Harry has trained National talent identification coaches and developed the T.I.D tool used in PC's, and has tutored and assessed for level 1,2 and 3 coaching awards in England. Barbara was formerly a county player for Yorkshire and Lancashire and together, the formidable partnership were presented with the prestigious award of 'England Coach of the Year, 2014.' They are an asset to the Leeds PC programme; leading Tuesday and Thursday sessions, and to Yorkshire County Badminton.
Brian and Jillian Wallwork are both Badminton England coaches. Brian is a National assessor of coaches and former U19 National team manager and former National senior team coach and selector. He represented England from 1976 to 1981; winning numerous International singles and doubles titles. On the senior circuit, Brian is a WBF World Champion, EBU European Champion, World Corporate Games Champion and All England Singles, Doubles and Mixed Doubles Champion. He represented Lancashire 1st team on over 100 occasions.
Jillian was an England U17 coach and England Senior International ladies doubles and mixed doubles champion. She was an England U23 International, U21 National Champion and England Junior National Champion. She represented Lancashire 1st team on over 100 occasions and was an All England Ladies Doubles Champion. Jill coaches at Garforth Academy: National School Winners on several occasions.
Paul Sibson first stared playing badminton in 1967 and retired from competition in 1990 after representing ROF Barn Bow, Kippax and Garforth Falcons. Paul ran after school badminton sessions at Ninelands Primary School, Green Lane Primary School and Garforth Academy from 1988-2005. In 2006, Paul became the Yorkshire TDI, tasked with the role of finding future talent whilst managing the Yorkshire U11 county team. Paul currently coaches beginners and improvers at LBC and organises the Ridings Primary League. He has developed the 'Girls Academy' here at Garforth and has recently set up a 'LBN Futures' group for girls under the age of 10.
Lauren Allinson has been newly appointed our 'Head Coach' here at LBN. She was a junior England International in ladies doubles and mixed doubles, Yorkshire ICT team captain and winner of numerous National tournaments in ladies doubles and mixed doubles. At University, she was a TASS scholar and double World Champion at the World Corporate Games. She has also medalled at the British Universities and Colleges Sport (BUCS) competition in doubles and mixed doubles. She has made over 50 appearances for Yorkshire, and currently represents the senior county team in Division 1 North. Lauren, who is a level 2 coach, leads our Monday night PC session, Elite Multifeed session and Footwork to music/plyometric session.
